Hotel/Resort Operations- The Underrated Driver of Hospitality Revenue

Sales Brings Revenue, Operations decide whether it will stay or not.
Operations- The Underrated Driver of Revenue

2026, When revenue managers are chasing Revpar and Occupancy, but none is bothered about actually solving the problem.
There is a silent killer in hotels, and while everyone is running behind Occupancy, ARR, Revpar etc. People have forgotten what forms the backbone of the industry.

Operations- the backbone of hotel industry, the vajra of hospitality. Often ignored at multiple levels, this is a dangerous gap.
Revenue is not just filling up rooms, Its also about what you deliver vs what a customer experiences.
A guest waiting for an early checkin, Rooms are available but yet they have to wait. Worst, a customer waiting after check in time because check outs werent initiated at time. Customers dialing for towels in room, basic toiletries, Ac not working, Tv remote not working.

All of this sounds familiar right ? But this doesnt reach the GM or the owner.
There is lack of coordination within the department, who ends up suffering ? Guess ?
Yes, we have 80% occupancy for today, but in reality the experience is a nightmare for someone who trusted you while booking the same.
A guest wont remember whether you ran a LMD or EBO or what your pricing strategy was.
What do they recall ?
A Dirty Room, Non Functional AC, TV that doesnt Turn On, Geyser that looks new but no hot water in the tap, A Complain that couldnt go through, A Phone that kept on ringing, A Nightmare.

These arent issues, these are broken promises. I remember when i was pitching my idea about stronger operations to a 4 star luxury hotel, the manager asked me.
" Ravneet, what are we trying to achieve, Why are we trying to Solve Something That is NOT Broken ?"

This is when i realised, on paper everything is good, 80-90% occupancy, hitting the revenue but not addressing the issue.
Issue being " Lack Of Ownership",
Instead of Automating the operations, Trying to provide the best experience to the customer, we are more focused on painting the rooms, buying the latest TV, placing the Italian Rug.
None is actively or proactively checking if the "Guest Is Comfortable".

Bad reviews are not the biggest critic or damage to the hotel. Its the Silent Churn, Guests who came, Stayed, Did not argue, Did not leave a feedback.
No Repeat bookings, No Referrals, No Second chance,
This is revenue loss that you cannot see in a report.

With Foodle+ my team is trying to empower the staff to solve problems instead of just escalating issues. To enable more for your customer in experience and in return get higher conversions, reviews forming strong operations.
Happy Guests will review, post, refer, spend more and most importantly understand if you fail sometime.

This is Real ARR, not compounded, not just booked but earned.
